Ron recently served as producer for Lang Lang's Album The Disney Book, and executive producer for Sony Animation’s “The Star”. As well as producing/arranging tracks for Kelsea Ballerini, Zara Larsson, Jessie James Decker, Jake Owen, A Great Big World and Yolanda Adams. Ron also just completed arranging and conducting the orchestra for Zach Brown’s “It Goes On” for the new Jerry Bruckheimer feature film “12 Strong.” Further film credits include “Beauty and the Beast” by Arianna Grande and John Legend from the Disney Animated Feature film,
Ron also recently produced and arranged the “Christmas After Midnight” album for Fantasia. And produced multi-Grammy winning superstars TLC’s first new album in 15 years, yielding the billboard top five hit “Way Back.” and went on to produce Fantasia’s chart-topping Grammy nominated album “The Definition Of”.
Born and raised in Los Angeles Ron met his mentor, Oscar winning composer Bill Conti while engineering a recording session in Los Angeles for Conti as his assistant. Here Ron earned his first gold record for the recording and mixing of the original soundtrack for the timeless classic blockbuster film “Rocky”.
Ron's recordings have won him six Grammy awards and he has been nominated an amazing 18 times. Ron Fair spearheaded the US breakthrough of UK band Bastille, with their hit “Pompeii selling over three million copies. Fair discovered and shepherded Christina Aguilera selling over 50 million copies world wide and winning numerous Grammy awards. Fair also A&R’d Christina Aguilera's first five albums. Ron championed the Black Eyed Peas to 27 million albums, 4 number ones and multiple Grammy wins, as well as co-producing and arranging the strings on their global breakthrough #1 hit “Where is The Love”. Ron produced and A&R’d The Pussycat Dolls six million selling Grammy nominated debut album yielding several international #1 singles.
While at RCA Records Ron discovered and signed Stacy “Fergie” Ferguson into the girl-trio Wild Orchid. Ron later re-signed Fergie and installed her into the Black Eyed Peas leading to her 5-million selling Grammy nominated solo album “The Duchess” with no less than three #1 singles including “Big Girls Don’t Cry’”. Ron was co-producer of Mary J. Blige’s #1 hit “Be Without You” charting 18 weeks at #1 R&B, and five weeks at #1 on the Hot 100, winning three Grammys and achieving over 7 million album sales.
Ron co-produced “Lady Marmalade” By Christina Aguilera, Pink, Mya, & Lil Kim for the international #1 single taken from the Moulin Rouge movie selling over 3 million copies. Ron first brought Snow Patrol to the USA selling a million plus albums on the #1 hit “Chasing Cars”. Ron developed and produced Grammy nominee and triple-platinum vocalist Keyshia Cole yielding six #1 R&B tracks and produced two seasons of Keyshia’s BET reality show “The Way It Is”.
Ron guided Vanessa Carlton to a double-platinum Grammy nominated debut album, producing and arranging her #1 hit “A Thousand Miles.” He was executive producer of the 11-million-selling soundtrack “Pretty Woman” and the 5-million-selling soundtrack “Reality Bites”. Ron has produced two jazz albums by Queen Latifah, selling a million copies combined.
Ron and wife Stefanie Fair recently wrote and produced over 75 children’s songs for Andy Heyward’s kid’s entertainment company Genius Brands, a publicly held company whose mission is Children’s entertainment with a purpose.
Fair is the recipient of the British Music Manager’s Forum Music Roll of Honour, presented by Jazz Summers in recognition of his contributions to the UK music industry as an American. Ron has served as musical director and performed on the Grammys, The Latin Grammys, The BET Awards, Saturday Night Live, American Idol, The Voice, Home for the Holidays & Christmas in Washington. Ron has served on the board of Governors of the Grammys and was a national trustee.
Ron recently relocated to Nashville Tennessee with his talented songwriter wife Stefanie Fair who featured in Bravo’s reality series “There Goes The Motherhood” along with their three boys and girl.
Ron Fair continues to produce visual and musical content across all genres and is now headquartered at his new state of the art studio a few minutes from the famous Music Row in Nashville USA.
